Living With A Vision

Living the Abundant Life (4)

“Where there is no vision, the people perish” ~Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

Jesus Healed a Blind Man:

Luke 18:35-43 / Mark 10:46-52

1. Believe that Jesus can change my situation.

35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by." 38 He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" ~Luke 18:35-38 (NIV)

2. Ignore all the negative voices.

Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" ~Luke 18:39 (NIV)

It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord , you are safe. ~Proverbs 29:25 (TEV)

3. Listen for the call of God.

“Jesus stopped and said, ‘Call him!’ So they called to the blind man, "Cheer up! On your feet! He's calling you." Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.” ~Mark 10:49-50 (NIV)

4. Tell God exactly what you want.

“... When he came near, Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?"

"Lord, I want to see," he replied. ~Luke 18:40-41 (NIV)

5. You receive the vision by faith.

42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you." ~Luke 18:42 (NIV)

6. You keep your vision by following Jesus.

43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God. ~Luke 18:43 (NIV)
